It is important that you provide an email address as this will be our primary source of contact throughout your music education. We have a student and parents portal where we can keep you up to date on academy news, view your timetable, track your practice and receive notes from your tutor. By submitting our registration form, you accept these notices. If a tutor is absent for your assigned lesson, we will provide an appropriate substitute at the same time or at a mutually convenient time. If a student is absent with notice given, you may avail of one make up lesson. Management reserves the right to amend this at their discretion. Welcome to the RMA Cahir Campus at Carrigeen.

Before you register for Rockwell Music Academy, please read through our available programmes for 2024-2025. With our students in mind, we have made a few changes to what we have offered previously and have created exciting new programmes that we can’t wait to share with you.

Little Rockers
Suggested Age: 0-4 Years

Parent and child class. 9:30 and 10:30 Thursday mornings.

Combining fun, music and learning this weekly 45 minute morning class (taught over a 15 week semester) is for babies and toddlers with their parent/ guardian/ minder. Class day and time to be confirmed.

‘Cara’ Pre-Instrumental Programme
Suggested Age: 4-7 Years

We highly recommend this class as the first step of music tuition for any child aged 4 – 6 years (Junior and Senior Infants level). This class has been designed to provide a musical foundation, introducing children to many elements including rhythm, tempo, melody, pitch, dynamics and more! Cara stage 3 can be run if necessary.

NEW Starter Programme
(Group Instrumental & Voice) – Suggested Age: 7-9 Years

We have created a new starter programme that will give you a introduction to the instrument. These small group classes will take place at a fixed time (TBC) and will include:

  • Piano (Keyboard)
  • Violin
  • Cello
  • Voice
  • Guitar (Ukulele)
  • Wind/Brass (Recorder)
  • Drums

NEW Show Class
Suggested Age: 8-18 Years

This is designed for all actors, singers and dancers who may have formerly taken Speech and drama groups, Junior choir or Musical theatre ensemble. Do note there is still the option to follow exam syllabus in Drama or Musical Theatre via our 1-1 lessons. This group will rehearse and stage a show within the academic year.

Music Theory Grinds
2nd/3rd Year, 5th/6th Year

Please call to discuss how we can best support you in preparation for the Junior cycle or leaving certificate exams.

One-to-One Lessons
Suggested Age: 9-99 Years

30 minute weekly lesson taught over a 15 week semester.

Through our one-to-one instrument and vocal tuition, our experienced and qualified tutors will prepare students for graded exams or a mutually agreed curriculum.

In addition to weekly one-to-one tuition we encourage students to participate in our Rockwell Community Orchestra, giving all our students the opportunity to hone highly sought after ensemble, performance and social music experience. Orchestra will be held on Saturday afternoons.

*Adults lessons can be accommodated in the morning or lunchtime slots*
